1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the HostelHome platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our services.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HostelHome regarding your use of the platform.

2 Service Scope

HostelHome provides a digital management system designed to streamline hostel operations, fee tracking, meal management, and resident record-keeping. We act as a software service provider and do not manage, own, or operate the physical premises of any hostel listed on our platform.

Any agreement regarding physical residency, house rules, curfew, or room maintenance is strictly between the user and the respective Hostel Management.

3 User Responsibilities

As a user of HostelHome, you agree to:

Accurate Information Provide accurate, current, and complete details during registration and profile verification.

Account Security Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

Lawful Usage Refrain from using the platform for any fraudulent, abusive, or malicious activities.

Respect Privacy Respect the privacy, identity, and personal records of other residents and wardens.

4 Fee Payments & Gateway Integration

HostelHome integrates certified payment gateway infrastructure to facilitate software subscriptions and online fee operations:

Razorpay Software Subscription Gateway

All online software subscription transactions (Starter 50 and Growth 120 plans), recurring auto-renewals, and plan upgrades are processed securely via PCI-DSS certified payment partner Razorpay Software Private Limited. HostelHome does not capture, store, or transmit sensitive debit/credit card CVV or banking PIN credentials.

Integrated Resident Fee Payment Infrastructure

Where enabled by hostel administration, student fee payments are processed securely via certified payment gateway channels (PhonePe / Razorpay) with automated webhook verification settling directly into the hostel's official account.

Manual Payment Proof Verification

For offline bank transfers, students may submit receipt proofs directly or via Android Share Intent. Hostel Administrators are solely responsible for verifying bank credits prior to approving manual receipts.

HostelHome is not liable for third-party payment gateway downtime, bank network delays, or disputes arising between residents and hostel management.

5 Intellectual Property

All content on the HostelHome platform—including software code, design elements, logos, brand trademarks, and interface components—is the exclusive property of HostelHome. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our platform without prior written consent.

6 Termination of Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account access at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, breaches security regulations, or is harmful to other residents or our business operations.

7 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostelHome shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform, including service interruptions or third-party banking delays.

Operational Downtime Notice: HostelHome provides the Service on an 'as-is' basis. We are not liable for operational disruptions, internet outages, or unauthorized leaves that occur during network outages.

8. Hostel Administrator Data Compliance & Responsibility

If you register a hostel on our platform or operate a Warden / Staff account:

Role & Consent

You act as the sole "Data Controller" for the resident data you enter. You warrant that you have obtained explicit consent from students (or guardians) before uploading their details or verification documents.

DPDP Law Compliance

You are fully responsible for ensuring your collection, use, and sharing of resident records comply with all local privacy regulations (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act).

Data Misuse & Indemnification

HostelHome is not responsible for any misuse or leakage of student data caused by administrators mismanaging accessed files. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HostelHome (and DBRP Grow) from legal claims arising from privacy violations.

9 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
